Grassroots Wet’suwet’en Call out for Support: Stop the Pipeline!
The Unis’tot’en are a clan of the Wet’suwet’en people. They have not given consent for pipeline construction on their unceded territory, which the Pacific Trails Pipeline contractors require under the UN’s declaration of FPIC. (Free Prior & Informed Consent)
Logging of the pipeline route on Wet’suwet’en territory has begun and crews trying to start construction camps have been informed they are trespassing and left. The Unis’tot’en are asking for allies to help in any way they can to support their ongoing resistance to resource companies, who are operating without concern for democratic procedures and effectively outside the law.
