It was our unique social system and party-gang based style of warfare that confused, harassed and nearly ended colonialism before it even got started. It was our Tribal Organizational Model that nearly won the day. It took disease and a scorched earth campaign against our resources to subdue us. For my people in the Pacific Northwest and southeast Alaska they had to take our salmon from us. For the Diné they slaughtered their livestock to destroy their economy. For the plains Indians it was the buffalo.
